Weird Wisdom

Feeling rather contemplative today so just a tiny bit of wisdom to pass along:

“Hold lightly to that which you think dear.

In so doing you do not crush it, nor hold it captive.”

  1. a light touch causes one to lean in to it, a hard hold makes one pull away!

    • WOW! That’s REALLY deep! You are on fire today!

      • i work with animals. if you pull, they pull, if you touch soft, they lean into you. it is nature. holds as true to a human as it does an animal! :)

it is really just common sense. one can learn a lot from watching how animals behave.

      • I work with hurting people and they behave much the same way, but a lot less trusting.

      • i would liken them to a wild horse that has never been touched. there have been times when i have had the occasion to have to try and touch one for some reason and it takes a certain mood and a certain connection. one does not connect with every single animal nor with every person. but when that connection is there, i have spent hours gaining the horses trust and getting it to where i can touch it and give it a shot all with it standing, tremoring. under my fingers and yet not moving away!

it is a natural instinct that very few people have i think.

      • You have a gift for certain. I get to deal with hurting people who want someone to trust, but aren’t sure how or if they can. Takes time to earn that trust.

      • people are in such a hurry these days. too much stimulation. it is sad really.

I miss the days when i wasnt so busy. i would sit and watch the animals, just be among them. truly amazing what they teach! (i think i already said that :) )

People i dont know often tell me very deep things. I think they are like the wild horse, they connect and know that it will be ok. interesting thought for me to ponder on today in between appointments.

  2. Aah fuck. So wise!

  3. I always loved this quote..and the picture is fantastic.

  4. Especially wise wisdom….Thanks. The world needs more wisdom, that’s for damn sure.

    • Wisdom is in the ear of the receiver. The mind that understands is the mind that can make a difference.
*ahem* that would be you. :)
