Ever consider the fact that we leave impressions? Not fossil impressions! Well…….not yet since not all of us are fossils as yet (although I feel a little like a fossil-like more and more). We may not believe that we have any smattering of a smudge on anyone else. However, our every interaction is the result of, driven by, and leaves an impression. We seem to live in a continuum of impressions.
Our interactions as we grow, we have impressions left on us (in more ways than one) by every single person in our lives. Consider the physician who smacked your rump at your birth so you would celebrate life with a breath. Consider the bruises inflicted upon, and received from, siblings (especially during the “rough housing years). Consider how many people who have come into your life; you’ve touched them and they have touched you. Therefore, as a matter of extrapolation, we have a far reaching and timeless impression on in the sands of time and in the circle of life (if you’ll forgive the Lion King reference).
Some impressions are small, or so we think. However, the smallest flaw in a diamond alters the value. When in comes to life…there are no such thing as a “small impression.”
Just something else to crowd into the elevator of your mind. Pssssssttttt…..you are leaving impressions even now. So there!
